North Huntingdon Township is proud to appoint Ryan Fonzi as the new Assistant Township Manager. Ryan has been a part of the North Huntingdon Township staff since May of 2006. He was hired as the Senior Planner/GIS Coordinator and then served as Associate Planning Director for roughly ten years. As he continued to develop his technical and leadership skills, he was promoted to the Director of Planning & Zoning in September of 2019. He has an extensive background in community development, environmental planning, and GIS systems as well as a master’s degree in Geo-Environmental Studies.
In his new role as Assistant Township Manager, Ryan looks to build personal relationships with Township employees as well as the residents to better understand their concerns. He believes everyone is entitled to a fair and honest answer to those concerns so the local leaders can create a better community for all residents.
Ryan is excited to start his new role, but recognizes he has a great deal to learn about administrative municipal management. He feels there is a good team in place that can guide North Huntingdon Township into the future to be a thriving community for years to come.
“I am passionate about working in North Huntingdon because this is where I was raised and this is where I call home. I care deeply about this community and I take all decisions very seriously because they also impact my family, friends and neighbors”, says Ryan.
The Board of Commissioners approved his promotion to Assistant Township Manager at the August 21st public meeting. Congratulations Ryan!
